Trudbenik AD is one of only a few companies in the world with an completely independant airend production. The complete research and development process, from initial prototype manufacturing and testing to development of modern software tools for mathematical modelling and optimization was performed in our company, by our engineers and experts and a few external associates, mainly renowned university professors.
TD airend family is designed for compressing air within the F.A.D. range of 0,6 up to 46,5 m3/min and max. pressure as far as 16 bar.
Two specially designed helical screw rotors of asymmetrical profile were mathematically optimized with 5/6 gear tooth ratio rotating - performing air absorption and continuous compression.
Rotary motion without inertial forces made it possible to exploit the airends with high revolution speed, which resulted in reduced dimensions and the possibility of using high speed engines which are smaller in size and significantly lighter.
For the purpose of cooling oil is directly injected into the compression area. Besides cooling the system, the oil is lubricating the system at the same time. Because of direct oil injection whole compression process is almost isothermal in temperature scale from 80°C - 90°C. Oil circulation and oil separation is processed in the compressor.
Compression is made with large numbers of precisely processed elements that achieve reliable operation and high life-span.
The TD type of screw compressors include five basic sizes, and numeric notation represent screw axial distance given in millimeters.

Depending on the planned usage and concept the TD airends are manufactured in three variants:
* M - stands for an airend with a built-in gearbox
* R - stands for an airend designed for belt transmission operation
* D - stands for an airend designed for direct coupling to the engine
